Public Relations Experience
My favorite elements of PR are writing and media relations. Each campaign or case study included was completed through one of my public relations classes, unless otherwise noted.

Tasked with recommending policies and procedures to decrease stress and anxiety levels in BYU Marriott students following a suicide in the building in 2019. Presented to the client and proposed a semester-long awareness campaign, along with syllabus adjustments and thorough training for staff and faculty.

A draft of an opinion-editorial written for publication in Deseret News. My argument is that LDS mission leaders are ill-equipped to the handle mental crises of their young missionaries, with an intended audience of the Utah and Idaho LDS communities.

Club Rush Campaign: BYU Mission Inclusivity Club
Early-returned and atypical missionaries are a stigmatized group at BYU, something members of the Mission Inclusivity Club are all too aware of. Club Rush is a campus-wide event to find new members.

Problem: Dozens of clubs advertise at this time, usually with flyers that get thrown out. How are we going to stand out?

Solution: Instead of flyers we handed out Band-Aids with our flyer taped to them. Our club is a place to find healing and support, something a Band-Aid can do. Plus, you never know when you'll need a Band-Aid!

I created and implemented this campaign as President of the BYU chapter of the Mission Inclusivity Club.

BYU's Computer Science Department found they lacked identity and purpose compared to competitors. The rebranding campaign included a Coding Week event with puzzles and unifying color-coded t-shirts for each of the four majors within the Department. We presented the report to the client.

Drafted a news release to increase media share of voice ahead of Barber's forum address to the BYU community.
